Prioritise Struggling Families

Across the UK over 7.5m families with children are trapped in poverty – nearly 27% of all families

The Salvation Army has been stepping in to help desperate families who are at breaking point and living hand to mouth.

Up and down the country, our officers and volunteers are helping people who can’t feed or clothe their families, or have been pushed into debt because their money doesn’t cover everyday essentials.

That’s why we are calling on the Government to give struggling families the help they desperately need.

We are campaigning to:

  • scrap the two-child benefit limit

  • end the freeze on help with housing costs

  • give people the real help they need into work.

Poverty not only harms childhoods; it also consumes lives and opportunities. Use your voice to help struggling families to not only survive but thrive.

Take action now and use your voice, write to your MP today.
